I agree that this has ruined personal lives. I have two friends that get in fights about issues all the time that end badly. Perfect example is my friend and his girlfriend fought about an issue and they ended up breaking up. They weren't agreeing on the issues and arguing about the solutions of the issues
I can understand how this can ruin relationships. I believe that to ruin personal relationships is going a bit far, but it does happen. This happenes because we all have strong beliefs on how the country should be because this is our home/ lives here in the country. When you have a certain perspective on the lifestyles/ how the country should be its hard to accept anything different as years of history has shown us. You can't change how you feel about it.
